Operational Risk Officer

Our client is a leading Global Bank based in Belfast. They are actively hiring an Operational Risk officer to join their Operational Risk and Controls team for 12 months with an immediate start! This role is part of the organizations first line of defence within Risk and Control. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of Operations controls as well as an understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), in order to thrive in this role. Core Duties:Contribute to risk assessments and drive actions to combat the issues that lead to operational risk losses by actively challenging practicesAbility to operate without much supervisionProvide the team with governance and oversight with processes risk, operational readiness as we as technology risk to name a fewReviews the control environment to ensure acceptable controls are in placeGuarantees completion of projects, special assignments as well as other ad hoc activities when requiredGuarantees compliance with all regulatory requirements and procedures are in place within the Operations TeamAssists advising of standards, procedures and concepts that ensures co-operation of othersSkills/ Experience key for the role:Good experience in navigating and networking throughout an enterprise utilizing internal and external resourcesStrong business knowledge, including but not limited to the understanding of core loan operations operational risks as well as supporting processes and operationsProven ability to understand operational risk and gap identificationAbility to manage multiple projectsIf this is of interest, click the link below or contact me directly [email protected]!*Unfortunately my client does not support sponsored candidates* McGregor Boyall is an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on any grounds.
