About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to support the National Sales Manager with all service sales, opportunities, and issues. This will in many instances translate to supporting the wider Service Management Team and working closely with the Regional Service Managers, and Operational teams. The following general duties will be expected from this role:


Responsibilities:

  • To achieve and surpass sales targets set for new and expansion business
  • Develop the FM sector in collaboration with the Service Sales Management team and the Regional Service Managers
  • Ensure that all client contracts management contact lists are followed up and relationships created for the development of future works
  • Ensure that you maintain and produce accurate quotations allowing the correct revenues to be generated for the business
  • Offer Turnkey chiller installation works as part of our routes to market ensuring we quote accurately to secure profitable margins
  • To work in collaboration with the Service Managers ensuring that works won are communicated and introductions are made allowing the service teams to carry forward the relationships
  • To participate in brainstorming sessions – highlighting opportunities and risk
  • To promote positive communication and work collaboratively with other LES departments, the Business Services Team and other Mitsubishi Electric Business Units
  • To prepare an agenda for all self-led meetings keeping accurate minutes and listing appropriate actions and outcomes
  • Represent Mitsubishi Electric in a professional manner & preserve market reputation and integrity
  • Deliver or contribute to specific tasks assigned via the Service Management Team to support business growth and development
  • To be familiar with all relevant systems and processes used for the purpose of service delivery
  • To assist (where required) the Service Management Team to identify areas where systems development work may be required and with any subsequent implementation
  • Share project information with other relevant departments to maximise opportunities
  • Update quotation status on a regular basis; won, lost, pending etc: when quotations are lost understand reasons why and feedback to line manager
  • Maintain mileage reports to company standard
  • Submit expenses on a monthly basis
  • Comply with all Mitsubishi Electric policies & procedures


Qualifications:

The Business Development Manager role requires strong construction industry experience and knowledge, along with a high degree of curiosity and organisational skill in managing day to day activity. Strong commercial experience and a proven industry track record with a strong desire to learn, achieve and excel. The role will require a high-level knowledge of our equipment portfolio and the services offered together with an insight into the competitive marketplace. The role will require a self-motivated commercially minded industry professional whom, will work within a sustainability focused team driving change in the built environment through the decarbonisation of new build and retrofitted commercial buildings. Customer Centricity is key and the voice of the customer is critical in the success of achieving sales growth.
