This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with children aged 5-11 who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your contribution will be instrumental in helping these young learners thrive in a nurturing environment.Role and Responsibilities:- Provide Individual Support: Assist students in their learning journeys by implementing personalized education plans and fostering a supportive atmosphere.- Enhance Emotional Well-being: Offer guidance and encouragement to help students manage their emotions and behaviors, promoting a positive and safe classroom environment.- Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside teachers and other professionals to develop effective strategies for classroom management and student engagement.- Track and Report Progress: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting support strategies as needed to ensure each child's needs are met.- Engage with Families: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's development and collaborate on strategies for continued progress.Essential Requirements:- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)- Prior experience with SEMH needs is highly preferred- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to supporting children with special educational needsIf you are passionate about making a meaningful difference and ready to contribute to a dedicated team, we want to hear from you.
