About The Role


You will lead our employer branding efforts, driving the implementation of our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) ensuring it resonates with our values and culture ensuring Morrisons is a go-to choice for top talent. You will leverage our iconic brand to position us as an employer brand of choice, attracting and retaining the best talent, whilst managing our digital presence, creating engaging content, and leveraging analytics to drive strategy and measure impact.


This role is pivotal in transforming our employer brand from the ground up across all business areas, ensuring it's represented at each step of the candidate journey, and supporting the delivery of our attraction strategy. It will partner with the broader Engagement, People and Marketing teams, playing a key role in championing the development and delivery of a diverse and inclusive attraction strategy.


Reporting to the Head of Resourcing, you will be a key member of the Resourcing team and will play a significant role in delivering change and innovation to the function.


Key accountabilities:


  • Developing and implementing our employer brand strategy that aligns to our values, culture and EVP
  • Creating and curating content that effectively communicates our EVP across various platforms and each step of the candidate journey
  • Collaborating with relevant departments e.g. People, COE’s, Comms, Marketing to ensure we have a cohesive brand experience for current and future colleagues
  • Ensuring our EVP is presented consistently and authentically at each step of the candidate journey, from first engagement to onboarding
  • Ensuring we have a ‘voice and presence’ across social media platforms by responding to feedback
  • Engaging with colleagues to raise our brand through authentic storytelling and testimonials both written and video format
  • Creating groups of ‘brand advocates’ that support the creation, posting and sharing of content
  • Managing our online presence, including our careers site and social media platforms to engage with candidates
  • Analysing data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our employer branding efforts ensuring we’re using data to drive decisions
  • Ensure that we are proactive, innovative and ahead of market trends when it comes to Employer Brand


About You


Above everything, we’re looking for someone that has a real passion for all things employer branding. In addition to this, prior experience in some or all of the below would be great:


  • Extensive knowledge along with a proven track record of employer branding within a talent acquisition function
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing tools used to drive attraction campaigns
  • Prior knowledge of creating and implementing communication and media plans
  • Extensive knowledge of capturing, analysing and interpreting data to make informed decisions and measure success and ROI
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for employer branding and EVP development
  • Natural storyteller with excellent narration and writing skills able to capture our ‘tone of voice’ across all materials e.g. careers page, social channels, ATS templates etc.
  • Strong communication and influencing capability, particularly with senior stakeholders and a natural desire to build great relationships
  • Demonstrable hands on experience in creating branding campaigns including creating content for social media
  • Experience of owning and operating social media accounts including Glassdoor, Indeed, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook etc
  • Experience of developing, managing and executing an EVP
  • Experience of working with Employer Brand agencies and Media partners
