Kitchen Porter

Major hotel requires an experienced Kitchen Porter to work as part of the team in cleaning the kitchen

MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE AND HAVE ACCESS TO A CAR

This permanent full-time role, your main responsibility will be to support the kitchen and food teams, ensuring all kitchen areas are clean and tidy, and all crockery and cutlery is prepared in order to ensure smooth running of service and provide a positive dining experience to the guests.

The role will include:

• Daily cleaning of all kitchen areas, staff canteens, stores and kitchen corridors, clear of any obstruction and that floors are swept, mopped and kept dry
• Washing and cleaning kitchen equipment for the chefs and all crockery and cutlery for chefs and restaurant staff
• To deep clean kitchen equipment as required
• The storing of all food deliveries as instructed on a daily basis ensuring that new stock received is rotated with old stock and assist with any stocktaking as required
• Communicate effectively with all staff
• Keep the delivery yard area clean and tidy.
• Food waste bins / general waste bins and recycle bins to be cleaned weekly as instructed.
