Infrastructure Engineer

BAU Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Extension Available) – OUTSIDE IR35 – Southampton, UK (Hybrid Working)We’re looking for an experienced BAU Engineer to join our client’s Server Platforms & Operating Systems team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is essential in supporting our Azure based workloads and on premises VMware and Windows Server environment, ensuring smooth operation, performance, and reliability. The position is hybrid, with one day in the office in Southampton.BAU Engineer Requirements:Proven experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure management, including hands on platform experience in:Networking: VNET, NSG, DNS, routing, private endpoints, ExpressRoute, VPN.Storage management, Azure Policy, and Azure Monitor.Strong understanding of networking, virtualisation, and Azure security.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI).Experience managing Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.BAU Engineer Desirable Skills:Experience with DevOps/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners.Azure certifications such as AZ900 or AZ104.Details:Role: BAU Engineer (Server Platforms & Operating Systems)Location: Hybrid – 1 Day in Office (Southampton) with remote workingContract Length: Initial 6 Months (Extension Available)Take the next step in your BAU Engineer career and join our client.
