Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting a project Planner on a Permanent basis located in Birmingham. Project Planner will be supporting a variety of turnkey projects including the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. The Client offers turnkey design, build, and operational solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe. Role and Responsibilities: * Planning works from Design & Construction Phase. * Monitoring Progress during construction and coordinating updates and revisions. * Attending internal and external project meetings, presenting project information and updates on areas of responsibility. * Preparation of Construction programmes outlining design and production performance for the senior management team on monthly reports. * Accurately identifying and forecasting the work timescales and resource requirements for projects labour. * Support the company by developing methodologies to control and forecast work timescales and resource requirements. * Preparing and presenting programme dates to influence programme decision making. * Co-ordinate with the project team to accelerate tasks and resolve issues. * Monitor Actual v programme progress, produce S curves and dropline programmes whilst indicating areas for improvement. * Provide support to site, delivery, and project teams, highlighting issues and tabling potential actions. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential Criteria: - The candidate will have a responsible approach to work, taking ownership for what they do, have a proactive, results-oriented focus; and are able to carry out tasks in a dynamic environment. - They are willing and capable of assuming additional responsibilities; to work autonomously, and to commit to stringent deadlines. It is important for this role that the candidate has strong interpersonal skills as they will interact and work with people at all levels inside and outside of the organisation. A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience of working in a similar role. Good understanding of the construction industry and processes, from the design stage through to completion of the projects Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Asta, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office packages Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good administrative, organisational and time management skills. Ability to work on own initiative, displaying a proactive approach to all tasks. Ability to plan, manage and prioritise own workload. A team player. Seeks continuous improvement. Ability to undertake work related travel, as required.
