Head of Supply Chain - EV Charging (Automotive background) - £65k - £85k - UK - Remote Role Overview: The company is an EV Charging specialist growing extensively across the UK Market. The company is looking for a Programme Manager with previous experience in EV Charging or Automotive as it will be inline with the structure of internal processes within the business. Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead their supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a supply chain with an annual spending of £50 million, creating and executing supply chain strategies, driving supplier selection, procurement, negotiation, and contracting processes. This role requires expertise in inbound and outbound logistics, sales and operations planning, and end-to-end supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive or manufacturing industries, with extensive experience in Just in Time (JIT) and lean methodologies. Additionally, the Head of Supply Chain will be expected to negotiate effectively with suppliers to ensure the best possible results and forge strong relationships. Job Title: Head of Supply Chain Industry: EV Charging Industry Background: EV Charging / EV / Automotive Location: London, UK HQ (Fully Remote) Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Bonus Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs. Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, and distribution. Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes to achieve cost savings and quality improvements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all supply chain activities. Oversee inventory management and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels while minimising excess inventory. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and responsiveness. Monitor and analyse key supply chain metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain operations. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management to drive innovation and competitive advantage. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience in supply chain management, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain operations and achieving cost savings. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive favourable outcomes in supplier negotiations. Excellent understanding of Just in Time (JIT) and lean methodologies. Experience managing a supply chain with an annual spending of £50 million or more. Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders. Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
