Health and Safety Advisor

Contract Health and Safety Advisor £PAYE / Inside IR35 £(Apply online only) per day, 5 minutes from Jct 24 M1, Nottingham, Initial 6 month contract

We're seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join a team on a project-based basis working within the water industry

You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting audits, and supporting the development of a positive safety culture.

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be:

• Providing health and safety support to the project team.
• Conducting audits and inspections of the construction site.
• Investigating accidents and incidents.
• Assisting with risk assessments and control measures.
• Developing and maintain safety-related documentation.
• Liaising with clients, regulatory bodies, and external assessors.
• Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Supporting the development of a positive health and safety culture.

What would we like you to have at the Health and Safety Advisor?

Extensive experience in health and safety practice, preferably in construction.
Knowledge of current and pending health and safety regulations.
Strong understanding of statutory health and safety law in the UK.
Familiarity with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
Knowledge of good practices in construction.
Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management systems.
Formal qualification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
CSCS card or affiliated scheme.
