Electrical Design Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer – Derby - £55,000 – 65,000 We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Derby in the Rail industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role to take responsibility of the day-to-day Electrical Design tasks. Key Responsibilities:Undertake the electrical design concepts, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations and engineering documents for Rail Rolling stock/ vehicle & carriage projectsProvide coaching and mentorship to junior Electrical Engineers and check drawings and documents Attend customer sites for site surveys and provide support including fault findingLiaise with other departments including Mechanical Design to ensure customer requirements are metKey Attributes:Rail industry essential but ideally Rolling Stock/ Carriages/ Rail Vehicle background8 to 10+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering and DesignKnowledge of CAD – Ideally SolidEdge or similar.
