Fire Damper Engineer

Job Title: Fire Damper Engineer Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester. Salary / Benefits £25k - £40k + Training + Benefits Industry leading provider of Fire Risk / Fire Safety services across the North West region are now seeking to take on a Fire Damper Engineer. The successful candidate will be working on Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and Retail sites, undertaking fire damper testing, maintenance, and servicing. Experience carrying out ductwork and grease extraction cleans would be beneficial to the role, but training can be provided. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be happy to travel extensively in line with company and client needs. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Blackburn, Burnley, Preston, Blackpool, Southport, Bolton, St Helens, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Warrington, Stockport, Macclesfield, Buxton, Crewe, Chester, Bradford, Leeds, Keighley, Wakefield, Huddersfield. Experience & Qualifications: " Will hold an industry relevant qualification e.g. BESA fire damper. " Holding the PASMA / IPAF qualification would be beneficial to the role but not essential. " Will have experience working for a reputable Fire Risk / Safety company, working firsthand as a Fire Damper Engineer. " Extensive knowledge of BS 9999 / relevant Health and Safety guidelines. " Able to complete work in line with agreed time limits. " Good IT skills. " Able to work well independently. The Role: " Working on Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and Retail sites to conduct servicing and maintenance of fire dampers. " Conducting fire door inspections. " Conducting fire damper testing. " Ductwork and grease extraction cleans. " Advising clients on the state of their fire dampers. " Ensuring to install fire dampers in line with industry and manufacturing guidelines. " Using information from site to produce detailed reports. " Carrying out work in line with BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines. " Providing clients with excellent technical support and advice.
