SEN Teaching Assistant - Tottenham - ASC Support - ASAP Start A primary school in Tottenham is urgently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a small class of Year 2 and 3 students, with an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with strong knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to make a real difference in a specialised learning environment. Key Details for the SEN Teaching Assistant: Support a class of 4 students, all with ASC. 2 students are non-verbal, so Sign Language experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Help manage and develop the student's academic, social, and emotional skills through tailored activities and interventions. The role requires confidence, patience, and the ability to handle challenging behaviour, ensuring a nurturing learning space for all pupils.Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant: ASC (Autism) experience as an SEN Teaching assistant is essential for this role. Knowledge of Sign Language is ideal but not required. A proactive, bold, and compassionate approach to supporting students with Autism.
