Job Title: CNC Setter (Hurco Machines)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: 16 - 18.50 per hour
Shift Patterns: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday 07:30-12:30 Friday (Flexibility to work 06:00 - 14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00 for cover is needed)

Brief description of responsibilities:
- Setting, operating, and editing basic programmes that run off a Microsoft system.
- Working on milling and turning machines and other conventional tooling when required.
- Training operators to upskill them to setters.
- Completing first-offs and in-cycle inspections.
- Perform regular machine maintenance.
- Monitor and control the machining process to maintain product quality.
- Keeping accurate records.
- Producing between 4-10 parts per hour.
- Reading drawings and job cards.
Requirements:
- Preferably experienced in VMC and VMG Hurco Machinery.
- Experienced in tool changes.
- Must be confident to train other members of staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes is a plus.
