Building Surveyor

Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor Goodman Masson are working with a Housing Association in the South East/East of England to recruit for a Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor. Rate : £300-£350 per day (depending on experience) Duration : 6 months + (temp-to-perm) The successful candidate will be responsible for: Conducting thorough inspections of properties to identify issues related to damp, mould, and disrepair Diagnose the root causes of damp and mould, such as leaks, poor ventilation, or insulation problems Produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommended repairs Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs are carried out Communicate with tenants, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed throughout the repair process The successful candidate will have: Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of building structures and common causes of damp and mould Excellent communication skills to liaise with tenants and internal teams A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to inspections and reporting Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housing conditions Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
