As an established provider of quality, targeted, tutoring services, APPLA Tuition work with schools, local authorities and families across England to provide friendly, quality tuition that is tailored to the individual needs of our students. We are looking for tutors in Ormskirk, and the surrounding areas to add to our growing team boosting the confidence and grades of the students who need it most. Responsibilities Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long Work is typically allocated in full or half (school) days Lessons usually take place on site, so you will be expected to travel Typically working with students seeking support with core aspects of English, Maths and Science (KS2/3/4) Understanding and compliance with Safeguarding policy Requirements: Available for a minimum of 5 hours 08:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri Must have a strong subject knowledge. Ideally in maths, English and/or science but other subject specialisms may be considered Ideally have experience working with disadvantaged students/students with special educational needs Must be personable Have a professional nature Be qualified to at least A-Level grade in specialist subject(s) No formal teaching qualification necessary Tutoring experience preferred but training will be provided Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) enhanced with child barred list check, which is free from any convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings Education: A-Level or equivalent (required) Experience: teaching/tutoring: 1 year+ (preferred) Rewards: £22.50-£32.50ph Up to £900.00 per week Benefits: Training programme Senior support team Flexible schedule On-site parking Sick pay Wellness programmes Employee assistance programme Employee discount scheme Holiday pay at 12.07% on top of hourly rate How to apply: To apply for the vacancy, follow the on-site instructions.
