An exciting position has arisen for a HR Manager to join a national membership body, in their Central London office. The successful postholder will play a crucial role in supporting the HR Function including the learning and development initiatives.Key responsibilities of the role:The direct line management and appraisal of the appropriate staff members. Ensure that all staff are trained appropriately and hold the overall responsibility for staff developmentLead on the learning and development, payroll, recognition awards, and the performance management systemContribute to the organisational development of the College by initiating and supporting a continuous management development programmeAssist the Director of HR in developing and implementing successful strategies for engaging and working with senior managers and other employees in the management of change and attainment of good HR practiceTo manage and process the payroll process alongside the Senior HR CoordinatorDevelop, maintain, and constantly review the staff induction and performance management processes to ensure that it meets the needs of the College and is in line with our valuesDevelop and maintain a Learning and Development Strategy aligned to the College’s current and future needs and initiate talent management strategies to develop the future leaders of the CollegeDevelop the annual learning and development programme in line with strategic, departments, team, and individual requirementsCreate the full spectrum of learning via a blended learning approach and identify projects and other learning needs across the operational business as and when requiredManage employee relation issues to ensure they meet best practice/employment legislationManage the learning and development budgetDevelop, implement, and maintain the College’s human resources policies, procedures, and formsTo maintain expertise and keep up to date with employment law; ensuring policies are updated and managers are informed of relevant legislative changesIdeal candidate profile:CIPD Level 7Experience in a learning and development management role or team leadership roleComprehensive knowledge of UK employment lawExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience of managing HR projects from inception to completionProactive, flexible, and able to work both independently and in a teamAgency reference number: J84024Location: Central LondonDuration: 4-month contract with a possible extensionWorking hours: 35 hours per weekWorking pattern: HybridDay rate: £230-£255/dayThis vacancy will be actively shortlisted so early applications are encouraged to avoid missing out.Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
