Overview of roleSalary: £41,187Location: West Bromwich An exciting opportunity for Class 1 Driver role within our Midlands Logistics Hub at West Bromwich bakery. This role involves the safe, timely and efficient delivery of our quality bakery products within our Inter Bakery operation. Hours of work will be based on a fixed shift pattern across a 7 day week with afternoon start times.Key Accountabilities Engages in the Safety-First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures and comply with all legal requirements for HGV Drivers To always drive Company vehicles to high standards of safety and courtesy, including compliance with the Highway Code and any Company standards To apply SAFED driving techniques, in order to maximise levels of safety and fuel efficiency To complete daily vehicle checks in line with company standards Maintain & comply with tachograph records, company key control procedures & working time regulations To report immediately to the FLM any variations to required standards of product quality and service levels To follow Company standards and procedures for working with, and accounting for, Company products and equipment, e.g. bread baskets, pallets, store returns and buffer stock. To comply with all Company requirements for Driver training and communications To carry out any duties, as required by the Company, e.g. unloading, refuelling and washing vehicles and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
