RMS Is collaborating with a prestigious automotive client, and we are seeking a new supervisor to join our dedicated team. Our client is renowned for their comprehensive vehicle services, including storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch, and transportation. We invite you to join our Compound Leadership Team and help them maintain and enhance their top-quality service.

  • Type: Annualised (39.5 Hours per week)
  • Working Hours: 2-Shift Rotation of 06.00am-14:00pm & 14:00pm-00.30am. Working shifts can vary so a degree of flexibility is required to be successful.
  • Salary: £37,377.51 per annum

About the Role:

Reporting to the Compound Manager, the main fundamentals of the role is to ensure all vehicle moments within the site are carried out correctly and efficiently by providing leadership, guidance, training, and support to the compound team, while adhering to company standards and procedures.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • To assist the Compound Manager in evaluating workflows and optimising staff utilisation to maximise efficiency.
  • To lead by example to foster an exceptional culture with a can do attitude, inspiring the team to provide excellent service and support to the client.
  • To equip the team with the necessary knowledge, advice, leadership, and motivation while identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
  • To lead and support the compound team in ensuring vehicles are properly located and all movements align with company procedures.
  • To take full responsibility for all aspects of quality, including measuring, monitoring, training, documenting processes, seeking best practices, and mitigating operational risks.
  • To support the Compound Manager in meeting client requirements, accurately measure all operational disciplines, and produce KPIs accordingly.
  • To promote a safe and competent workforce, conduct investigations for any accidents and incidents, and maintain accurate records

The primary function of this role operates outdoors in a large automotive compound facility. Its associated duties are conducted in varying weather conditions throughout the year (PPE is provided to support such tasks). As you will be expected to store and transport vehicles in an outdoor logistics facility which also involves moderate amounts of general walking throughout the working day

About you?

  • To be successful, you must be over 25 years old, possess a valid driver's license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
  • To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years supervisory experience within an Automotive / Manufacturing / Logistics Industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with computer systems and data recording. Strong IT Skills are required Including Microsoft packages, particularly excel.
  • The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
