Primary Teacher • Year 1 class • 2 form entry school • Thamesmead • January to July contract A welcoming and modern primary school in Thamesmead are looking for a qualified Primary Teacher to join their school on a full-time basis from January to July 2025. The Role In this Primary Teacher role, you will be a full-time class teacher in Year 1. You will be working alongside one other year group teacher and under the direction of the phase leader. Planning is shared across the year group and the curriculum is creative and varied and encourages individual learning and personal growth. The school are looking for a teacher who: • has the ability to demonstrate consistently good or outstanding teaching; • has good knowledge and experience teaching the KS1 curriculum • has experience supporting pupils with SEND • is committed to ensuring all children succeed; • is organised and hardworking; • is creative, flexible and committed. The school uses the Little Wandle phonics programme and NCTEM for maths are ideally looking for a teacher who has previous experience teaching using these programme although this is not essential. This role is to start in January on a contract basis until July 2025. The school The school is part of a small academy trust with 3 schools across Greenwich. The school which you will based in is in Thamesmead and is accessible by car and local train/bus links. As a 2-form entry school, teachers and support staff work closely together. There is a diverse intake with a larger than average number of pupils with special educational needs attending the school. There is an excellent and dedicated senior management team in place who are making excellent progress with the additional support of the wider trust.
