Our Leicestershire based clients who are leaders in luxury retail solutions are looking for a Purchasing Procurement assistant to support the procurement department and wider team in managing relationships with suppliers, providing support with ordering, stock management, sourcing new suppliers (based on clients requirements) negotiating prices and managing supplier performance. A strong organised administrator you will be a great communicator, working with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the exceptional client satisfaction and high standards are maintained. From time to time supplier visits will be required so a full driving licence is required. Responsibilities * Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and quality, manage supplier performance and that deliveries and quality are met. * Assisting in the purchasing of materials, ensuring accuracy and raising PO’s * Order processing, coordinating with suppliers regarding order confirmations, lead times, deliveries and shipments * Monitoring stock levels of materials to ensure these are available for projects/timelines. Stock audits, maintaining records of stock usage * Assist with sourcing new suppliers for materials to fit with project and client requirements * Maintaining all administration, documentation, supplier contracts, delivery notes and internal systems * Work closely with design teams, project managers to understand deadlines and requirements * Monitor budgets, costs and spending across materials support in cost saving where possible The candidate * Two years or more of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related administrative role, ideally within the retail, construction, or shopfitting sectors. * An understanding of high-end materials, fixtures, and procurement needs within retail environments (e.g., wood, metal, glass, and bespoke manufacturing). * Organised with good attention to detail. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and ideally procurement software. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines. * Proactive and able to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
