They are looking for an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer (Not a DevOps Engineer) to join their team on a permanent, full time basis and who will work on the design, implementation, and management of the cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on Azure. Deploy and configure virtual machines, AVD, storage, networking, and other Azure services according to project requirements. Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Create and configure build and release pipelines for automated application deployments, ensuring efficient software delivery and version control. Plan and execute migration strategies, considering application dependencies, data transfer, security, and performance optimization. Automation : Develop scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management tasks, implementing IaC practices for consistent deployments. Implement Azure security principles, including identity and access management, network security, data protection, and compliance requirements. Monitoring : Set up monitoring rules and alerts using Azure Monitor or similar tools. Define and configure metrics, monitor system health, and proactively resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and availability. Technical Support : Act as a technical expert, providing support and troubleshooting for on-prem and cloud infrastructure and applications. Microsoft 365 Management : Ensure the operational health of the Microsoft 365 environment, including security, availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability, and reliability. Provide support through an on-call rotation outside of core working hours, Monday-Sunday, for business-critical needs only. Proven experience leading complex IT projects throughout the lifecycle (Analysis, Architecture, Design, Build, Test & Production), including on-prem systems to cloud migration, Hyperconverged Infrastructure optimization, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Modern Data Protection, and BCP/DR refresh. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools for pipeline development and release management. Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring and alerting tools, such as Azure Monitor. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages. Working experience of at least 2-3 years with on-prem systems to provide L3 support Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
