Role: Quantity Surveyor Location: National with Hybrid Working (Regular Travel Involved) Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience + Excellent Corporate Benefits Package We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our FM contract. You will play a key role in the management, development, and delivery of lifecycle modelling and asset replacement programmes across the estate by managing all aspects of FM pricing/cost modelling. As part of the FM management team, you will report directly to the Head of Surveying and will work closely with the F&M Asset Management, Projects, and Mobilisation, Transition & Transformation (MTT) Teams. Your comprehensive commercial awareness and excellent detailed knowledge of past and present building surveying processes and principles will ensure you can deliver on accountabilities such as: Advise on lifecycle/dilapidation projects and determine/manage business/financial requirements aligned to the risk. Develop, organise, and manage comprehensive pricing documentation for competitive tender activities, including preparing PTEs and BQs. Support procurement colleagues with management of tender RFIs, supplier clarifications, and tender adjudication activities. Support FM Bid team with new bids and re-bid opportunities. Undertake risk, value management, and cost control during post-contract, practical delivery, and final account stages of projects. Champion working towards gaining ISO 19650 for Building Information Modelling (BIM), including the creation and development of digital modelling of the existing estate. Candidate Requirements Relevant quantity surveying and/or equivalent industry qualifications and hold recognised professional body accreditation, preferably RICS chartered (Associate RICS will be considered). Technical knowledge, competence, and understanding of building construction, fabric, and building engineering services. Have experience of using both the JCT and NEC suites of contracts and will have previously delivered works using measured term contracts. Be proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel, and in the application of estimating tools such as SPONS, NSR. Enjoy working as part of a team, using influencing skills to negotiate, and have resilience and determination to succeed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexibility is a mustthis is a hybrid role covering locations nationally across England, and therefore you must have a flexible approach to travel to/from sites and be prepared to stay away from home, potentially up to 2-3 nights a week.
