Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable HGV Class 1 driver for a night temp-to-perm position.
This role is crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to manage time effectively.
This will driving a double deck LST trailer trunking, 1 or 2 runs per night.
Duties:
Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently during night shifts.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following planned routes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues encountered during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and compliance.
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with 2 years experience and no more than 6 penalty points.
Previous experience in a similar driving role is preferred.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries within scheduled routes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team when required.
This is TEMP-TO -PERM position with contract after 12 weeks
Start times are between 17:00 - 19:00, working 11-13 hours per shift.
Monday to Friday
