Senior Lead Engineer

An opportunity to join an existing team as a Senior Project Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, planning and executing large and complex high voltage air and gas insulated switchgear (AIS & GIS) projects to meet customer needs, legal requirements and standards. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project engineering team across the portfolio. Oversee technical construction of switchgear and control plant. Responsible for overall project planning, time planning and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, processes and customer specifications. Develop and implement optimized solutions for project deliveries. Coordinate and collaborate with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure that project deliverables are on time, within budget and of high quality. Collaborate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders for synchronized project delivery. Coordinate all activities within the project's organization. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure fast and quality material procurement. Review and approve construction drawings and documents. Primary contact for communication of technical issues with the customer. Drive the completion of all activities in the project. Ideal Background: 10+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer in the engineering field. Expertise in switchgear design and technology: Layouts, sections, calculations, earthing & lightning design, civil design input, steel design input, transformer design input, HV / MV switchgear design related parameters for cables and cable routing, Control & relay protection design, LS & VS system design. Expertise as reviewer of technical specifications & selection of components Strong knowledge of MS Office and design calculation tools; knowledge of AutoCAD is necessary. Preferably Swedish speaking. Qualifications: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Extensive experience in delivering complex projects for the transmission and distribution market.
