About The Role Scrum Master Bristol, Barnstaple or Beckington (with a mix of office and home-based working) Up to £70K DOE + Benefits We are SEA. Engineered to protect. In this position you will play a vital role in helping others get things done. The Scrum Master needs to communicate, coordinate, and facilitate, doing whatever it takes to help the team deliver what’s asked of them. Your primary focus as the Scrum Master will be serving the Software Developers, Product Owner and SEA Business. The Scrum Master will serve the Software Developers by: - Coaching the development team into self-organisation Helping to remove obstacles to the developers’ progress Facilitating scrum events (daily stand-ups etc) as needed. The Scrum Master will serve the Product Owner by: -

Making sure everyone on the project team understands the projects goals and scope. Helping the Product Owner maintain the product backlog. Facilitating Scrum events (daily stand-ups etc) as needed. The Scrum Master will serve the SEA Business by: -

Keeping the project stakeholders up to date on the Scrum Teams progress. By understanding how to establish and use a teams’ production velocity to help determine progress and meet deadlines. Encouraging all SEA projects adopt the Scrum methodology (as appropriate). Lead regular sprint cadence (incl. key sprint ceremonies such as sprint planning, review, retrospective, daily huddles and daily team check-ins), ensuring necessary scheduling, attendance, facilitation and team participation. Coach team members in effective use of Agile ways of working and drive continuous improvement of Agile adoption/maturity, ensuring improved visibility of work, utilization of appropriate tools and ultimately Spring progress. Support the Product Owner / Project Manager to prioritize and maximise value/outcomes delivered by the team. Track the team's overall productivity / effectiveness and other metrics (inputs, outputs, and outcomes) on an ongoing basis. Facilitate process of deciding which stories will be included in each sprint through understanding team's velocity and story scope / size, and support team members to define and allocate which stories they will work on. Facilitate process of working with product owner and team to re-balance and re-prioritise work within a sprint. Protect team from distractions and interruptions by people outside the team. The skills you need

Strong background from Complex System Engineering, project management or development. Strong experience in a Systems Engineering led, product development company. Have a proven track record in successful Agile project management of software for an Engineering complex product or system. Strong background and experience Agile / Scrum Management of Software Projects Strong background experience in complex product development. Must be eligible for SC clearance and have full right to work in the UK. Must live within a commutable distance to 1 of our 3 sites.
