I am currently searching for a Commercial Manager to join one of the UK’s Leading Developers and Operators of commercial space. With a large number of projects currently in process and earmarked for the future, this role will see you take a strategic approach to managing budgets across the Development team.


This role is a great opportunity to move out of consultancy and into the client side, to get away from the details and focus on strategy, and higher level overview of the in house Development functions. This role would suit someone at Senior or Associate level, who is very comfortable with numbers and reporting, who is looking to take ownership and create processes in a client-side capacity.


The Commercial Managers Keys Responsibilities:


  • Critically assess the current CapEx Cost Management Process in real time and make suggestions for improvement in the process as needed.
  • Accountable person for all CapEx cost data originating from the Design & Development department.
  • Create and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts for all CapEx under management and supervision.
  • Produce and present high level CapEx budgets for internal review within D&D and with the Expansion, Commercial Finance and Management teams.
  • Set up and attend regular meetings with third parties as necessary during the development of the design.
  • Report the projected out turn costs of the development to the Chief D&D Officer.
  • Identify key issues and risks on the project and discuss with the Chief D&D Officer.


The Commercial Manager will have:


  • Extensive experience / postgraduate professional experience in surveying or development.
  • Track record of delivering outstanding design-led projects.
  • Experience in managing a large team, mentoring and developing more junior team members in meeting their potential.
  • Good business acumen and commercial understanding.
  • Excellent understanding and skills - MS Office.
  • Experience in partnering with Senior Stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external consultants.
  • An innovative and creative approach.


Salary and Benefits

  • Salary - £65000 - £69000
  • Annual discretionary Bonus
  • Full benefits package
