I'm delighted to be partnering with a growing Fintech Bank who are looking to add a Finance Assistant to its team.
As the Finance Assistant you will be a member of the team which supports the Head of Financial Reporting who is tasked with producing monthly management information of all banking business units and the annual statutory financial statements of the Bank.
The responsibilities of the role will specifically include reconciliation and the set up of general ledgers, investigation of errors, review of bank reconciliations, posting journal entries as well as assistance in preparation and submission of MI Reports and ad hoc information requests. The Finance Assistant will need to work be adept at working efficiently and effectively in a fast moving environment.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Daily reconciliation of Cash
• Controlling bank, intercompany and system reconciliations and carrying out investigations for unreconciled items.
• Accounts reconciliation and accounting postings into general ledger system
• Reconciliation of other accounts in the general ledger
• Invoice processing - applying nominal codes and categorisation and journal postings
• Preparing analysis of accounts and producing monthly reports
• Assisting in preparation of monthly management information and group reporting
• Providing information to group and responding to their queries
• Assisting on any ad-hoc duties when required
As the ideal candidate you will be a degree level candidate, ideally studying for a professional qualification. Good experience of Excel and preferably Banking or Financial services experience (but not essential)
