Salary: £60,530 - £78,100Dependent on experience

What you'll bedoing:
  • Lead, manage, co-ordinate and supervise the complexdelivery of the programme for T&C within the specified testsection
  • Ensure all commissioning activities are undertakenwith the Operational Framework and that compliance with all T&Cpolicies ismaintained Membership to the Reactor Test Group (authorisationGroup) and associated document preparation review andevaluation Act as Deputy Test Group Chairman when requiredensuring adherence to process and regulatoryrequirements Ensure each team member is assessed, developed& skilled to maximise their personal contribution and to meetthe requirements of the contracts, schedules andspecifications
  • Perform appropriate planning, management and reviewactivities to ensure products are integrated, safe, fullycompliant, tested and commissioning within agreed requirements forcost, quality, time andschedule
  • Ensure capabilities and skills development,performance optimisation and maximisation and efficient use ofT&C resources
  • Review the processes and procedures within the spanof control to reduce waste, improve efficiency and establish adynamic/flexible best in classcapability
Your skills andexperiences:
  • Demonstrable experience in Reactor systems and/orPropulsion systems Testing & Commissioning (on submarinespreferrable)
  • The ability to control, monitor and manage the TestSection to meet the boat test & commissioning plan to theagreed deliverables
  • Experienced people manager with an ability to giveclear direction
  • Experience managing delivery to plan and schedule(SimilarEnvironment)
  • Strong understanding of Nuclear SiteAuthorisation/Conditions
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to explaincomplex and diverse engineering process and procedureseffectively
  • The ability to understand context and implicationsof technical issues across a number of engineering and/or T&Cdisciplines Typically an Incorporated Engineer working towardsChartership and a member of the relevant institute ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level3/5 MBA/MSc/Degree in Engineering discipline orequivalent experience

The Reactor Commissioningteam:

As the Reactor Commissioning Manager you willoversee the all aspects of the complex ongoings currently underwaywithin our Test and Commissioning team. Overseeing multipleprojects and interfacing with both internal and externalstakeholders this role will require and experienced leader withexcellent interpersonal skills. We offer relocation support acrossall Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibilitycriteria
