The primary focus for this CFO position is to take responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of a successful UK business whose rapid growth has outstripped the capabilities of the existing structures. The role will involve interacting with the owners/managers on a daily basis and assist them in achieving their ambitious goals for the business.

What the Finance Director position will involve:
- Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Developing an effective treasury function for the business
- Work with the owner/managers to develop medium and long-term plans for the business, and to develop financial strategies for the owner/managers to achieve their financial goals
- Ensure that the company has proper controls and procedures in place to ensure that the company's resources are adequately protected
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:
- Strong interpersonal skills to successfully interact both internally at a very senior level, and to be the company's "face" with a broad range of banks and financial institutions
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and risk management, and particularly in asset finance.
- Proficiency in the use of technology, including products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to understand and develop the company's internal systems (Sage 200).
- The ability to analyse problems and develop strategies to manage such problems.
- A background in the logistics or transport industries would be helpful but not essential.
