Location: UK & Europe Type: Individual Contributor Role Sector: M&E Asset Management Our client is looking for a Senior Category Manager to drive category growth and innovation through strategy, market analysis, and delivering exceptional value through data-driven decision-making and effective product placement and positioning. You will be responsible for driving category growth through product launches, category management campaigns, and sales enablement. Key Responsibilities: Market Strategy & Root Cause Analysis: Identify the root causes of performance gaps, ensuring alignment between leadership, sales, and market conditions. Campaign Execution & Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead go-to-market plans and campaigns, ensuring that strategies are commercially viable and aligned with stakeholder objectives. Channel Sales Strategy: Drive channel awareness, develop & implement strategies to grow market share through the channel. Commercial Value Management: Analyse market trends and customer data to optimize category performance and reach new growth drivers. Define value propositions for customers. Business Development - Identify growth opportunities within the partner / end user ecosystem and create initiatives to capitalize on them. Help identify new markets and support the sales team in closing complex deals. Cross-functional Collaboration & Team Engagement: Work closely with sales / marketing teams and end-users to refine product strategies, ensuring alignment with market needs and customer expectations. Key Skills & Experience: Monitoring experience or a strong understanding of monitoring tools to drive decision making, ideally within preventative maintenance. 5-10 years’ experience in category management, product strategy, or a related role within the industrial sector. Experience with predictive maintenance, SCADA systems, and asset performance management tools preferred. Ability to drive innovation through commercial value propositions and lead teams in delivering measurable business outcomes. Experience managing budgets $500k + and delivering ROI against it. Experience leading scrums, project teams, working in a matrix organisation. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
