Fire and Security Small Works Engineer

Job Title - Fire and Security Small Works Engineer Location - West Midlands areas Package - 32,000 - 38,000 - Depending on experience 20 days holiday + bank Training when required Company devices for work - Phone, laptop Lots overtime available and paid time and a half Job Summary - Our client is a reputable and established fire and security company based in Birmingham, providing top-quality services to both commercial and residential clients across Birmingham and surrounding area. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Small Works Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities and Duties - Work closely with the Small Works / Installations Team on small projects from inception through to completion on CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Fire Alarm Systems. The successful Engineer will contribute to the team and will strive to deliver world class customer service and will be rewarded for doing so. * Liaise with the Lead Engineer on all troublesome sites, including any critical issues. * Maintain Fire & Security Systems in your region when demand requires. * Ensure effective communication with customers and schedulers when planning site visits. * Utilise all customer portals as directed by your Lead Engineer in accordance with the customer requirements. * Maintain your stock levels with support from the Stores team. * Attend training sessions as and when required. * Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required. * Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.Qualifications and Skills - Skills Proven experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of fire and security systems. Excellent technical knowledge and practical skills in installation, maintenance, servicing and commissioning of security systems. Ability to diagnose and repair faults quickly and efficiently. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to clients in a clear and concise manner. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the Birmingham areaQualifications: Relevant qualifications in fire and security engineering or equivalent.
