QHSE Officer - Environmental Bias Location: Buxton, Derbyshire Salary: £30,000 to £32,135 DOE + Attractive benefits package! QHSE Officer - The Role This role will assist the HSE and Quality Manager in leading/championing the site H&S, and Environmental agenda, to ensure the full deployment of the HSE strategy, systems and processes to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Framework and standards. This role may suit someone who has recently graduated from a HSE third level discipline. Key Responsibilities; Assist with the management and improvement of procedures and documents in line with the relevant management standards for the site, while also assisting with implementation of the control standards. Manage all site safety and environmental issues, ensuring Managers are aware of their responsibilities in HSE risk management Responsibility for ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, surveillance audits and recertification audits. Manage the site environmental permit and prepare any correspondence to the regulator or applications for variations that may be required and reporting of any permit branches. Assist managers with the identification and development of practical and effective safe working practices Carry out assessments such as COSHH, DSE and others Support the HS / Quality Manager in development and roll out of training Work with employees to continue to develop the culture of Safety and Compliance across the site. Review and research QHSE information to assist in the development/improvement of procedures/documents in line with management standards. Maintain and ensure compliance with environmental permits and other relevant legislation. Retain accurate and up to date hazard identification and risk assessments. Assist with the development, execution and improvement of defect, accident and environmental impact prevention. Support the HS and the Quality Manager to maintain/update HSE performance data. Assist the HS and the Quality Manager in the delivery of the site Master Plan and Strategy. Liaise with employees/managers to provide support with HSE issues, enabling the HS and Quality Manager to deliver feedback at management meetings. QHSE Officer - What we need from you Key Skills & Experience; Auditing experience and knowledge of ISO 14001 is essential Third level qualification in a relevant HSE discipline.
