Placing Leaders are recruiting on behalf of our client who are an Aluminium Systems manufacturer for a Machinery Engineer. We are seeking someone with experience of working with and programming CNC Machinery The main purpose of the role is to provide fabrication partner support for the installation and operational maintenance of supplied machinery and equipment across UK and Ireland. Also responsible for ensuring the effective transition of the customer from point of sale to service provision through to machine upgrades and replacement. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: ?Work closely with other departments to provide a seamless customer experience from sales opportunity through to machine commissioning ?Support machinery sales through arrangement of quotations, installations, servicing, repairs and replacement parts. ?Undertake pre-delivery machinery and workshop inspections, report on all observations, conclusions, and any recommendations to ensure trouble free installations. ?Co-ordinate pre-delivery activities to ensure that third party services, equipment, Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place. ?Undertake installation and commissioning of new machinery in accordance with current EU and UK legislation. To be completed with the assistance of the head office Machinery Technicians where appropriate. ?Demonstrate functionality and instruct nominated operators in the proper use and safe operation of machinery, complete a formal handover and obtain sign off from the customer. ?Advise on appropriate maintenance requirements and prepare, promote and secure post warranty. ?Undertake preventative maintenance, error detection, carry out breakdown and repair services, maintaining relevant records. ?Coordinate the provision of spares and replacement parts through machinery department at Head Office. ?Monitor and assess machinery faults and software queries, to ensure support teams provide timely resolution. ?Identify and facilitate the supply of machinery parts to customers for breakdowns and/or servicing ?Promote and assist in installation of software upgrades to machines as well as machine upgrades and replacements ?Ensure that activities are undertaken in accordance with company policies, in an ethical, effective, sustainable manner, using company resources efficiently ?Act as a Brand ambassador, always representing the company in a professional manner. Essential Skills: ?Industry recognised qualification and certificated NICEIC approved. ?Established competence in machinery servicing, preferably from controls background with mechanical experience. ?Basic understanding and competent working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. ?Experience of machinery control and network software. ?Enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build close relationships with customers and colleagues at all levels ?Able to prioritise workload and manage time effectively. ?Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Desirable Skills: ?Knowledge of factory fabrication process and principles Supporting Information: ?Applicant must be based in the Midlands ?Role requires frequent travel (national and international) and some overnight stays ?Clean driving licence ?Up to date passport ?Right to work in the UK
