We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join our dynamic team and drive factory operations excellence. Main Purpose of the Role Lead factory teams to deliver the production plan efficiently, safely, and within budget, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Production Manager: * You will manage daily production processes and oversee safe starts for operatives and subcontractors. * You will have to ensure communication is used to ensure production expectations and ensure schedules are met. * A key role will be to identify and fulfil training requirements for the production team. * You will coordinate temporary works and ensure compliance with design information and SOPs. * Collaborating with other departments for timely material and subcontractor availability. * Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and fortnightly plans. * You will conduct daily briefings and ensure compliance with quality control standards. * Another role you will have as an Assistant Production Manager will be to maintain progress records and manage production plan changes. * Uphold health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Monitor and control performance metrics (time, productivity, cost, quality, H&S, carbon reduction). * Lastly you will ensure that you are leading and motivating a high-performing production team. Skills and Qualifications need for our Assistant Production Manager: * Experience with MMC, assembly line manufacturing, steel fabricating, light gauge steel assembly, joinery, and dry lining. * Proficiency with operating plant and machinery, and power tools. * Relevant qualifications in health and safety, quality management, and first aid. * Strong understanding of production management principles. * Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. * Ability to mentor and develop apprentices.
