Title: Planning Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50-70,000 + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer to join a leading main contractor who are renowned for their expertise in delivering major complex construction projects. They will join an experienced planning team who are responsible for delivering a portfolio of large construction projects across the Midlands, typically valued between £40-250m.
Reporting into the Planning Manager the Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the project schedule, ensuring that all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a background in the building industry and site based experience which has been gained within a UK main contracting environment.

Duties
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules
- Track project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the project schedule and objectives.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, including earned value analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage the impact of design and construction changes on the project schedule, ensuring minimal disruption.
