HGV Technician/Mechanic West Mersea, Essex Full time, permanent Mon – Friday Days £19/£20 per hour Benefits: life insurance, salary sacrifice pension scheme, increasing holiday allowance for years of service, optional annual health check, optional social events, tradition of a turkey at Christmas Trading for over 60 years our West Mersea based client are a specialist in commercial heavy goods vehicle servicing and maintenance. They currently have an opening for an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic to join their busy team on full time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team performing tasks such as general repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, carry out repairs on small vehicles up to large HGV vehicles, maintain health & Safety requirements and report any concerns or issues, liaise with the team to order replacement parts. You may also be required to attend any call outs to broken down vehicles. HGV Mechanic qualifications and skills * Have a qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics * At least 2+ years’ experience working in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry * Be enthusiastic and motivated * Ability to work well under pressure * Ability to work within a small team * Have Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport due to workshop location * HGV Licence an advantage but not essential
