Ford & Stanley are looking for experienced Electrical Fitters to join a rapidly expanding company specializing in the design and delivery of bespoke engineering solutions for the rail industry. This exciting opportunity is based across multiple depots in Scotland.
The Opportunity
You will be working to provide essential modifications, installation and re-wiring of the trains, completing electrical modifications to the interior of trains and on board components.

Contract duration:
6 Months Contract – OUTSIDE IR35
Hours:
Mon – Fri (Flexibility on start and finish times)
40 hours per week (Overtime available)
Key Role and Responsibilities
Electrical Fitters are expected to be capable of installing and replacing the following systems:
PIS, PA, and CCTV
Passenger Access Doors
HVAC
Lighting
Auxiliary Electrical Equipment
Wiring and integration of circuit breakers, relays, transformers, insulators, cabinets, motors, and other associated electrical parts
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be electrically biased and will ideally have worked in a similar position within Rolling Stock, or be from an ex forces background, with a strong electrical skill set.
Essentials:
Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Engineering
Able to interpret electrical schematic diagrams
Rolling stock or light rail experience is highly desirable
Experience within an electrical discipline
Desirables:
Rail experience
