Electrical Design Engineer / CAD Technician

Minimum Job Requirements: * Higher National Certification (HNC) in Building Services or similar * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * At least 3 years of industry experience in Building Services Industry * Experience in AutoCAD or other industry software packages including Microsoft Office * Familiarity with building regulations and industry standard * Preferable: experience in Dilux and other electrical software packages * Own a car and able to drive Responsibilities and Duties * Arranging utility applications and obtain quotes including Elec (UK Power Network) * Lighting calculations (elec design engineer) * Producing of Electrical preliminary and tender drawing packages using AutoCAD * Assistance in producing Electrical Services Specification documents for Tender Issue * Attendance to on-line meetings and site meetings * Survey of existing M&E installations * Producing snagging reports * Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects. * Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities. * Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents. * Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis. * Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a team environment with multiple deadlines.
