Multiskilled Shift Technician London - Covent Garden Shifts - Days and Nights - 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am 3 days, 3 nights, 4 off 4 days, 6 off 4 nights. 4 off Brief Multiskilled Shift Technician needed for a well known construction organisation based in London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Multiskilled Shift Technician that takes pride in their work. The successful candidate would need to have their 18th Edition and City and Guilds Level 3 have a keen interest in becoming a Multiskilled Shift Technician. Benefits Salary: £45,000 - £49,000 per annum 24 day's holiday Pension Plan Career Progression What the role entails: Some of the main duties of the Multiskilled Shift Technician will include: Key Tasks Duties to include: To ensure site Electrical & Mechanical systems are operated and maintained to the required codes of practice and industry guidelines. Ensure the PPM's for the as built equipment is fully maintained and carried out in a high calibre and on time. To carry out day today maintenance and reactive issues relating to all the electrical equipment and assets. Complete information and feed back to computer-based systems particularly the PPM system. Carry out fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on heating, ventilation and air conditioning issues. Installation and modification of site electrical/mechanical services. Support SORC (Shift Operational Risk Controller) with LV/HV Switching requirements Maintain effective communication to the site operations risk controller, (SORC) including plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works and standards of housekeeping. Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the SORC. Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping Operation and trouble shooting for the following: Building Electrical Installation (associated panels, equipment, and circuits). Emergency lighting. Lighting Control system. Building Management Systems (BMS) Fire suppression and detection systems Air conditioning System, VAV, FCU's and Chilled beams. AHU's, Variable speed drives. Boilers and heating system. Generators and controls. Single and three phase motors. UPS system and associated control systems. Operation of LV/HV systems (training and familiarisation with this system will be made available). Building Mechanical Installation (associated panels, equipment, and circuits). Mechanical Plant - associated dampers, actuators, pipe work, fixtures and fittings Wet Fire suppression and detection system. Boilers and heating system. Water Treatment Plant. Domestic HWS and CWS systems throughout the site What experience you need to be the successful Multiskilled Shift Technician: Minimum 5 years' experience in Building Services industry C&G Level 3 qualified or equivalent in an electrical services/maintenance as primary bias C&G qualified Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical services/maintenance (desirable) HV Authorised Person Certificate and experience (desirable) 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation competent Recognised training or apprenticeship Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff. Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration and air conditioning. Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation. Demonstrate a willingness to attend on and off site training for plant and systems as they are installed. This may require nights away from home.
