Responsibilities


We are looking for a Head of HR responsible for all aspects of an employee lifecycle. This includes Learning and Development, Resourcing, Recruitment, Pay, Benefits, Employee Relations and HR operations.


The right candidate will be confident, knowledgeable in HR matters, someone who can keep a level head and is always looking out for changes in HR policies and benefits in industry.


You will work closely with BIP Group to align HR practices and be part of an international community, helping to drive change consistently as part of ONE BIP.


As Head of HR you will work closely with the CEO of BIP UK to develop and drive the people strategies, culture and organisation development. A strong change management focus and a keen focus on building an inclusive culture and working with the leadership team to supercharge growth across the business.


The Head of HR will lead the following:


  • Support the development and implementation of people strategies and initiatives to enable the delivery of the overall business strategy.
  • Build and evolve the employer brand and develop our EVP that acts as a diverse talent magnet
  • Nurture a positive, collaborative, inclusive and high performance work environment
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to nurture and build on our positive working environment.
  • Lead change and transformation
  • Evolve reward structures (in line with Group guiding principles) and ensure competitive benefits packages are available
  • Identify and implement pragmatic solutions to people and business issues ensuring they are commercially viable as well as in line with employment law and HR best practice.
  • Deal with complex disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and Company knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Develop and continuously monitor and review a comprehensive library of practical, informative and workable HR Policies & Procedures and implement changes where necessary.
  • Partner with the wider business to support career development, innovative learning interventions and support performance management


You will also have the opportunity to lead and contribute to cross functional project teams, bringing energy and ideas to topics such as ‘future of work’ and diversity and inclusion.


The role will require hybrid working with minimum of 3 days based in London HQ.


Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience as an HR Manager/Generalist in a fast-paced, consulting / professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices


Additional Skills


  • Experience managing a diverse and sometimes demanding stakeholder group
  • Comfortable performing everyday transactional tasks alongside the strategic tasks that this role will dictate
  • Commercially minded and thrives in a fast pace working environment
  • Metrics driven
  • Track record of leading HR functions and an innate sense of curiosity
  • Experience of dealing with complex employment law and regulations in the UK
  • A team player with excellent listening skills and communication skills that allow you to build constructive and positive working relationships at all levels
  • Able to work ‘in the grey’ and confident in making decisions
  • Track record of building organisation capability in a mid sized organisation and familiar with a rapid scaling process
  • Experience of workforce planning and the challenges of resourcing
  • CIPD qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and explain employment law.
  • Strong communication and mediation skills
  • Highly resilient and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • IT skills and knowledge of HR systems and databases
