About Us:
Randstad is partnering with the Children with Disabilities (CWD) team in Durham to recruit an experienced and compassionate Social Worker.
This role offers a unique opportunity to support children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the care, services, and resources needed to thrive.

Job Description:
As a Social Worker in the CWD team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children with varying needs and disabilities.
Your role will involve conducting assessments, creating care plans, and working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure that children and families are supported effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, providing support, guidance, and advocacy for the children and their families..
• Work collaboratively with health professionals, educational staff, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to service provision.
• Ensure the child's voice is heard in all decision-making processes.
• Attend and contribute to meetings such as Child in Need reviews, safeguarding conferences, and multi-agency meetings.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-agency environment and under pressure.
