Key job responsibilities - Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing - Analyse and implement corrective actions to make sure quality andproductivity are at consistently high levels, and business objectives are metacross all shifts - Support and lead a team and handle administrative work alongside buildingand supporting a strong team culture - Analyse performance and suggest process improvements to optimise work andimprove customer service - Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes A day in the life You’ll work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your mainfocus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across yoursite. You’ll also monitor and maintain process efficiency. Your days willalways include prioritising routine team management and daily operationaltasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvementwork and wide-scale operational contingency planning. Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues inother teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet ourcustomer demands and targets. This will involve analysing data and performancemetrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing theoperational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers. About the team Operations sits at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. We look aftereverything from the moment a customer clicks buy, to the moment their item isdelivered – from desktop to doorstep. We put safety first as our people areour priority. And we use the expertise of our people to get packages to theirdestination – quickly, conveniently and sustainably. There are different teams within the Amazon operations model. As a graduateAreaShift manager you could be placed within one of these teams: • The Customer Fulfiilment (CF) team are the first people in the chain thathelps customers get products at the speed we’re known for. Based in FulfilmentCentres, which are at the heart of Amazon’s fast-paced Operations network. Ourcentres are sometimes referred to as the ‘First Mile’ because it’s where mostAmazon packages start their journey. The CF help to manage dynamic inventoryand facilitate speedy deliveries round the clock. • Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service(ATS) team. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centresequipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run atmaximum efficiency. ATS analsyes data and uses the expertise of our people toget packages to their destination – quickly, conveniently and sustainably. • Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties inpartnership with third-party distribution businesses. Utilising creativethinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physicalproducts into the hands of our customers. The goal is to make our customers’delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global deliverysolutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and AmazonRestaurants. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree (or working towards a bachelor’s degree) - Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English - Relevant experience in performing data analysis ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS-Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership -Experience in a logistical working environment -Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
