Buyer

Our client, a world-leading EV powertrain OEM, renowned for their technology and elegant re-powering of classic cars, are currently looking to hire a Buyer (EV). The successful candidate will focus on managing vendor relationships and will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

The Buyer (EV) will:

• Be responsible for monitoring supplier performance and developing improvement programmes.
• Maintain supplier details on the procurement system and review of supplier performance.
• Source and place orders for contract and non-contract items using manual requisitions and digital parts requisition systems.
• Adjust parts system component parameters to achieve on time availability and appropriate batch sizes.
• Progress and chase outstanding PO s in liaison with Production management.
• Control goods inwards, and stock management.

The Buyer (EV) will have:

• Proven history in working as a buyer in a small to medium enterprise.
• Knowledge of automotive parts.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
• A can-do attitude, working well on own initiative as well as being part of the wider team.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and data.
• Familiarity with business tools such as Asana, Jira, etc.
