In-house Group Paralegal

The job

Heathpatch is a family-owned business that operates in a range of industries across the UK. The legal, compliance and company secretarial requirements are all overseen from head office and this role is crucial in ensuring all these requirements are met.

You'll be responsible for providing support to the family and directors, drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing legal processes, and coordinating with professionals. Additionally, the role involves aiding in the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance to ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations and maintaining accurate records.

All operations for the farm and property management, as well as managing the family affairs are carried out from the head office and your duties will extend to assisting with these requirements, adding to the unique, diverse and interesting nature of this role.

What you'll need

Proven experience as a paralegal within relevant a relevant industry

Demonstrable facilitation/organisational skills

Ability to interact within multiple areas of the business at all levels

Ability to apply independent practical and commercial thought

Effective management and prioritisation of tasks

Where you'll be based

The Heathpatch offices are based at Dairy Farm in Semer, Suffolk. The office can, at times, be quite quiet so the resilience to work alone is required. There will be occasional travel to group company sites as required.

What you'll receive

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum dependent on experience

Monday-Friday working week

Office hours of 8:30am-5:30pm
