Job Summary
The Production Assembler will assemble wood-based components and products using hand and power tools to meet quality standards. This position plays a key role in delivering custom-made products, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Assembly: Assemble parts accurately following work instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings, using woodworking tools and machinery.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery, and perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect components and finished products for quality, reporting any defects to the production supervisor before advancing to the next stage.
- Materials Handling: Gather and prepare materials, components, and equipment for assembly.
- Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Documentation: Complete necessary records, including production logs and quality checklists.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to achieve assembly targets and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Maintenance Support: Conduct routine checks on tools, reporting faults or breakdowns as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in production or assembly roles is preferred; full training will be provided.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions.
- Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination for safe, precise use of hand and power tools.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure product quality and accuracy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and communicate issues in the assembly process.
