Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Health Services at East London NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist with a broad clinical experience across: orthopedics, neurology, respiratory as well as care of the elderly and enjoy the challenges of providing rehabilitation to people in their own homes.The EPCT Therapy Team covers a range of healthcare needs including rehabilitation at home, palliative care, falls prevention, admission avoidance, management of long-term conditions and support towards self-management. Experience in all these areas is desirable.You will be supported by experienced Band 7 Physiotherapists, and work alongside a dedicated team of other Band 6 & 7 Physiotherapists, as well as nurses from the wider integrated team. In your role you will be responsible for rehab support workers and students. This will offer you the opportunity to develop your supervisory and managerial skills.If you are an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with a motivation to work and develop as part of an innovative and integrated health and social care team, then this role is for you. Potential candidates should have current HPC registration and ideally be a current member of CSP and specialist interest group, along with evidence of post-graduate study. You must have experience working within the NHS across a number of clinical areas, and at least 18 months post-graduation. Main duties of the jobPlease see attached JD Main duties and responsibilities To manage a defined caseload using evidence based /client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, maintaining associated records. To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to the specialist caseload across various sites within Tower Hamlet as the service requires. To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualized treatment program. To provide leadership for more junior staff, as agreed with senior staff. To deputies for the Senior Physiotherapists in their absence as required. To supervise Physiotherapy students on clinical placements. To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in the in service training scheme. To undertake lone working when required.
