We are seeking a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years of UK experience to join our thriving, independent business. You will be working sole charge in our newly build second branch opening in Alexandra Palace this year. It is a beautiful building in the heart of north London. We are a popular and established community vets in Finchley, London, and due to growth since we opened in 2017 we are expanding and seeking a vet to join our friendly and professional team.
If you would flourish providing excellent care to clients and their pets, this is an excellent opportunity. There is a varied caseload and you will undertake a mix of consultations and routine surgery, and have case continuity.
You will be comfortable with working sole-charge. An interest in exotics is advantageous as our Finchley branch is renowned for being a centre for exotics. For an experienced candidate there could be a chance to be part of the senior leadership team with the practice owners and contribute to business development, at an exciting time as we open a second branch.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide excellent standard of clinical care to animals
- Deliver new customer satisfaction to build client base and ensure customer return and retention
- Communicate effectively with clients about cases and treatment
- Provide thorough approach to new cases
- Clinical and Surgical work – consultations, diagnostic investigations, surgical procedures quickly and safely and inpatient care
- Maintain up-to-date clinical records
- Work in a timely manner
- Ensuring that your work supports the Director’s objective of ensuring the practice runs efficiently and effectively, and grows the client base
- Promote animal welfare through client education and preventative medicine during consultations
- Sign clients up to the preventative healthcare plan
Working hours
The working hours will be our opening hours of 9:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Our clinical team work Sundays 10am-2pm for consults only at the Finchley branch on a 1 in 3 rota. No Saturdays or on-call requirement. Job share or part-time applicants are welcome to apply.
