Receptionist/Office Administrator Salary: Competitive Hours: 35 per week Location: London (London Bridge) Contract: Permanent Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, working with thousands of schools in the UK and Ireland every year to inspire children to read for pleasure through its Book Fairs and Book Clubs programmes. Scholastic provides trusted resources and support to teachers through its Educational publishing arm and is also the home to amazing children’s books and series including, Dog Man, Zog, Stick Man, Tom Gates, Horrible Histories Northern Lights and The Hunger Games. We are seeking a professional, friendly and reliable Receptionist/Office Administrator to join our London office. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, ensuring they have a warm and welcoming experience. You will manage the front desk, handle all aspects of office enquiries, and assist with various office administration duties including invoicing, management of office supplies, health and safety, facilities and general housekeeping. You will have proven experience in a similar role, possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail alongside proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office. You will have a professional and proactive “can do” attitude with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed in a competent and timely manner. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the wide varying tasks that ensure the office runs efficiently at all times, whilst also being the friendly and professional first point of contact for Scholastic.
