Transport Manager

Job Overview:Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Transport Manager to oversee the daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients using the company fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing client transport needs and resolving any issues quickly.
• Scheduling: Plan, organise, and optimise transport jobs to enhance efficiency.
• Invoicing: Ensure accurate recording of transport charges and prepare client invoices.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the delivery team, stepping in to drive when needed.
• Route Optimization: Analyse and improve routes to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stock Oversight: Manage goods in/out processes, ensuring accuracy in stock records.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Driving License: Must have a valid license with 7+ years of driving experience and be able to operate Luton-sized vehicles.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Effective under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Enthusiasm: Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
