Job Requirements / Description
I am working exclusively with a long standing client to help them recruit a Senior Management Accountant on a 12 month FTC. The role is based in Birmingham and offers hybrid working - 1 day in the office per week. As the Senior Management Accountant you will support the Finance Manager in leading a forward thinking and dynamic financial team and will support the development and embedding of a commercial culture.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing financial reporting and analysis processes to provide insight to management. Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L & Balance sheet. In-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making. Supporting Finance Business Partner / Operations on large commercial contracts Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards (IFRS). Collaboration with operations to drive business performance and achieve organisational goals. Qualifications and Experience required for the role:
Essential - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and up to date working experience of best practice methodology Proven experience in a either management accounts or audit. Experience of successfully undertaking complex financial analysis and modelling Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise (e.g., ERP systems).Although the role offers hybrid working my client is looking for someone commutable from Birmingham. They are looking for someone who either immediately available or can be within 1 month.
